Tampa man survived flesh eating bacteria

that came into his thigh when he broke up a fight at a family party and got bitten. (The link has pictures showing the treatment and resulting scar. The pictures will show if you open the link.)

My spidey-sense tells me that the gentleman more likely contracted the bacteria in the ER, and not from the bite.

Im no doctor, but theres no way the flesh eating bacteria came from the idiots mouth that bit him.

So the open wound from the bite was infiltrated by bacteria somehow but not from the bite itself.

unless we hear a story about the dude who bit him being a zombie or having that flesh eating bacteria in his body himself, theres no way the bite was the cause AND effect for this happening to this guy. It’s poor journalism, but it’s 2023 so it’s what we have.

The guy could have contracted this bacteria at any point between the bite wound and being stitched up, but not from the biters saliva.
