Yeah it's a very good car. You can run it forever and resale value (at least around here) is high.

That's what I'm told. Thanks.

It's an awesome car. Don't fret the fools on here with their "lesbian" comments. For the money, it's one of the best valued cars on the market. It's one of the safest, has mechanical AWD that's great in all weather, comes with top rails, has decent infotainment (now has Apple Carplay and Android Auto), and lots of space on the inside.

We had a 2011. LOVED it.

Was a fantastic car and wish we still had it. Someone hit my wife and totaled it, but she didn't even get whiplash. Much less a scratch.

Safe, decent gas mileage, nimble, plenty of space, and an all wheel drive system with better traction than almost all factory 4 wheel drive systems.

Oh, and as previously mentioned. Resale value stays insanely high. We actually made money on it from the insurance payment, despite putting 30,000 miles on it, because their value had increased in the 6 months since we purchased it.

Don't pay attention to the lesbian posts on here...as long as she has a dog that she takes with her everywhere in it, it will be fine....well that, and if she is a lesbian.

This girl isn't going butch. But I'm glad to hear the positive feedback from every one. She wants some features like auto adjust for seats since I'm so tall (she calls it 1 and 2), heated seats and blind spot detection. I think those are standard features for most cars now though it seems.

Subaru is owned by Toyota. It is reliable. Decent gas mileage.

And medical sales reps....that’s all my company drives is Subaru cause they’re reliable & AWD. My outback is helluva lot better than a Fusion & I can put my mountain bike on top & leave the pavement if need be.

You can get these on an OB but they don't come with the base model. You may have to get the most expensive model for those features.

We just got one. So far, so good. By the way, the La specialty plate, "LEZBARU" is available. The wife didn't think it was funny though.

Great cars. My wife's daily driver is a 2014 Outback, our 3rd Subaru.

Cheap to own, reliable and good gas mileage.

I did put a NRA sticker on it.

Yeah, I paid too much for my 2012 and should have just bought new. I've had it 2 years and will buy another Outback when the time comes.

AWD is the main reason I bought it. Lots of sand/dirt roads where I live. And I put a hitch on it and pull my boat easily. AWD is great at the boat ramp. Very reliable, good gas mileage (a bit underpowered). Can lay flat in the back on road trips and take a nap. It's missing some whistles and bells of higher end cars and that's fine with me; they just break and need fixing.

It depends on what your wife needs but it's hard to beat for reliability, economy, and driving in rain/snow/sand.

Wife has one and loves it. Rides good, AWD makes it dependable in bad weather, snow, etc.

She has the fully loaded trim level, so it is pretty nice.

Only car magnet my wife's car has on it is a Duke University magnet.

We went test drive it yesterday. I'm a tall big guy and I sat comfortable in the back seat. It rode well and she really likes. We are looking at the touring package that's fully loaded.

The price they gave us was $37,000. That seems really kind of high. I was hoping for them to knock it down to $33-34K range. They don't sell too many here in so maybe when I counter that will help.

They offered us the option of leasing. I don't know how I feel about that.

Also, what is up with these creepy emails with videos they send you addressing me personally. It's weird. I don't like it. Stop that.

Some of the older ones were really bad about overheating and damaging the head gasket. I’m sure the newer models have ironed that out.

No, it isn't. Toyota owns just over 15% of Fuji Heavy Industries stock (which is what Subaru was part of before renaming it Subaru Corporation). Toyota bought 40% of the stock that GM liquidated, then doubled that number over the last few years.

Subaru Outback

It's perfect while trekking down the road with your on the roof bike rack, caramel latte macchiato, and liberal tendencies. If a guy buys one, they come standard with a driver seat installed butt plug.

Mine didn't
But it handles icy roads better than your diesel.
