THREE days later, this buck busts through a picture window in this guy's house. The buck gored the dude to death and ended up bleeding to death in the house from the glass cuts. They found his arrow still lodged in the buck.

My Grandpa's neighbor who made a fortune selling software he created was clearing brush on his new ranch and backed his tractor into a tree where a branch impaled his skull/neck area.

A guy I knew was a big bow hunter. He shot a buck in his back pasture late one evening. He found a blood trail, but never could find the deer. He even went back the next morning and looked. Nothing.

Crazy as hell
I guess we've reached the fish stories part of the thread.

Knew a guy once that was a pro golfer on the tour, he ended up having to stop playing because his arm was bitten off by an alligator.
Few years later he started to mentor a crazy ex hocky player in golf. The golfer ended up killing the very same gator and gave it to this guy as a gift.
You won't believe it but as he opened the gift the head rattled the guy and he fell to his death out of an apartment building window. Tragic.

As I read this, all I could do is picture Squints telling it.

A guy at the SO's office building went missing for 3 or 4 days. They found him dead in the bushes next to the building. He apparently fell off the roof. 15 story drop.
Was this the accountant a few years ago? I didn't know he was missing THAT long...

a few summers ago. a guy was in a condo complex parking lot with his car up on a jack. front left tire was off. the car fell on him (no one knows how or how long he was under there or why he was directly under the car/ or if the jack slipped?) his chest was crushed and he had an obvious erection so everyone assumed he was dead not only from the chest injury but most likely also, from a neck/spinal cord injury.

A kid I knew (Woodlawn HS) was chopping wood in his Freshman year while at LSU (he was a Sigma Chi) and a metal shard or a wood chard flew right into his heart and he died. Biggest fluke thing ever. I bet one of the old timers here knows the story.

This guy I worked with died from spontaneous human combustion. Went to bed one night and all they found of him in the morning was a pile of ashes.
Weird!
Weird!

One night he and his roommates were drinking at their apartment. One of em owned a pistol. The guy I know thought it'd be funny to scare his buddy when he came out the bathroom. He dropped the magazine, and pretended to shoot his buddy. Sad part is the guy knew very little about guns, including the fact that there could be a round in the chamber. Shot his best friend point blank in the face.
So sad and stupid... NEVER play around with guns. ALWAYS act as if they're loaded and the safety is off.

During a bad ice storm in Memphis in 1994, a guy my dad worked with was driving and a frozen tree limb fell through his windshield and impaled him through the chest. If I remember correctly the doctors said his actual cause of death was a heart attack. I've been thinking about this all this week with the ice around here.

The husband of one of my cousins went inside an industrial furnace to inspect it. They had forgotten to flush the argon gas and he suffocated.

Not strange but tragic.
Kid a couple years older than I in high school. His senior year.
Him and his friends would go ATVing in this undeveloped area of town. Some new development was going on there, so dirt mounds were being created all over and they would ride over them each weekend. Well, between one weekend and the next, the construction crews dug out part of a mound. Kid went over the top of the mound to find out the rest wasn't there and plummeted. ATV struck the back of his head and crushed it.
Ambulances couldn't reach the area, so his friends had to load him in a truck holding his head together to the waiting ambulance.
Fast forward to graduation. Kid's picture goes up holding a fish he caught and every one cheers. Some MS School official goes up there later and says "I wonder why every one is so excited about a fish?" Talk about awkward.

My great grandfather and grandfather were together killed in a plane crash over NC. Two planes collided and 82 people on board were killed.

The type of work I did most of my life, I witnessed a few people get killed, and was in the general area of several others. Bad things happen, when people get too comfortable in hazardous types of work.
I was working at The Avondale shipyard In Louisiana as a contractor in 2006 and 2007, I can't remember which it was but I was working on either The U.S.S. New York, Or The U.S.S. New Orleans, it was hot as hell at the time.
Anyway, one Day a man on the ship had a heart attack, the paramedics got him off the boat and took him to the ambulance. Before they took him to the hospital, a crane dropped a generator on 2 machinists who were putting shims on the foundation and got themselves under the load, cut those guys in half and killed them instantly. The paramedics went back on the boat and left The heart attack victim in the ambulance, even though nothing could be done for the machinists.
They came back to find the guy dead in the ambulance.
Can't say I really knew any of those guys, but I walked by them everyday.

How could you be that confident to not even take a test shot at the ground first? Incredibly sad and I feel terrible for the guy who shot him, but jesus christ man
