Nightmare.
With things like this, canceled flights, and real ID, I’m pretty much over flying. Will make my vacations drivable.

Again, checked luggage should be free and carry-ons should have a fee. The de-planing process is longer than waiting for bags at the carousel.

St Louis was Trans World (would have been a poor name choice in 2025) Airlines largest hub until they were acquired by American Airlines in the early 2000s. Before that St Louis build a huge new runway to expand their capacity, spent billions, tore down neighborhoods and churches. Then 9/11 happened and AA came in and shut the hub down almost immediately and the runway gets zero use because the taxi time is so long. One of the great infrastructure frick ups of all time.

Lambert absolutely sucks as an airport. But this is the fault of some shitty convention that sent thousands of people to the airport at the same time regardless of departure time.
Normally people flow into an airport depending on what time they leave. These assholes made sure the entire day's scheduled departures all showed up at the same time.

Why are there even that many people departing STL in the first place? The only other time I've seen anything close is when four major cruise ships disembarked on the same day in FLL
