Usually in May or June we get an infestation of June bugs out here in the country.

I haven’t seen any yet. As a matter of fact, the same goes for those fricking Love Bugs.

Made a comment about this last night to my son when I saw ONE by the patio light. I usually see 10 or 20.

I wonder if the cold weather in Jan-Feb knocked them down.

Have seen only a few lately.
But those black and brown wooly caterpillars, that’s another story.

Infestation of June bugs here in New Orleans, more than the last 10 years, that I recall.

Agree with the lack of June bugs, but I got a bunch of little half sized June bugs the past two years. Those little ones are better at sneaking in the house and end up dying in my toilets.
Also agree with the increase in lightning bugs (or is it fire flies?). Forgot how ugly those were when they aren’t lit up tho.

They are usually pretty bad around my house during the spring. The front of my truck is usually covered in splattered June bugs after my morning commute. I noticed they weren’t nearly as bad this year.

There's plenty in Georgia and South Carolina right now if you want some.

Was coming to post this, they’re everywhere when the sun goes down here in Lakeview.

I heard insects are having a mass die off due to the amount of pollution and Chems we are putting in the environment but I’m not sure how true this is.
