Looks like Royal Hookah strikes again. Summer is heating up in BR.
Maybe this will make the cops increase their presence in the area on the weekends.

How did black America become enamored with hookahs?
All-you-can-eat crabs? I get it. Hookahs? I don't.

there’s one in Hammond downtown, it’s one of the few places open late on sundays. All black crowd, I don’t get it either

Well, frick.
definitely. Too close to my house. It's ridiculous how the cops allow the patrons to park on the median and on the grass lots right next to Sherwood. It is incredibly dangerous. I've had to slam on my brakes in order to prevent from running over people walking between cars onto Sherwood.
While lying in bed at 2 AM, I can hear drag racing that is going on once the bar closes. This goes on for quite a while.
The cops have to be intentionally ignoring the area on the weekends.

It's the ghetto-bougie version of a cigar bar.

Yea, it gives the false illusion of some exotic or elite activity, when you are really just sucking community smoke out of a bucket through hose.

I’ve lived in Baton Rouge for over 12 years!!!! One of my favorite spots to patronize is Royal Hookah on Sherwood Forest!!!! I been there several times in the last few years. Tonight I decide to bring my boyfriend by there to just hangout while it’s still early. Upon arrival one of the security guards was watching me up & down. We finally make it into the place. I'm speaking to people I know. The security appears standing close by where I’m sitting. I found it kinda odd but I didn’t say anything….I get up to go to the restroom , he follows me to the restroom screaming & I ask him “are you referring to me”???? He says yes! You can’t go in the women’s restroom … I asked him so which one would you want me to go in???? He smiles & says I guess you can go… just this one time!!! “I guess I’ll be nice tonight”!!! So I walk to the entrance & simply ask for a refund because I know HE WANTS ME & HES A PERVERT!!!! Security walks inside the building asking to speak with me & asking to see my identification again. Once I present my identification “to keep everything from escalating” they all start apologizing & begging me not to leave . Once I proceed to get my refund they continue begging me not to leave! The security guard walks up telling me he apologizes!! I just left !!!! Never have I ever experienced this in my entire life!!!! He obviously knew I was trans & really just tried to embarrass me. I need the information of the owner of Royal hookah!!! @highlight— at Royal Hookah Lounge & Bar.

There are almost always cop cars at the RaceTrac at night arresting people.

Baton Rouge is diseased. There's no way to fix it. There's no viable police dept that can fight it. There's no leadership to change it.
It's fricked.
Sometimes I feel like I'm betraying my obligation as a dad by raising my kids here. Does anyone else ever feel like that? Like you're putting your own children behind the 8 ball by trying to bring them up in a town like this?
