Illegals have been inundating the gulf coast for years. I-10 allows easy access once they get into texas. The Houma area has had thousands since the late 90’s it’s really ramped up recently and east Houma may as well be part of Mexico. Pointy toe boot shops, road side thatched roof food stands and several Hispanic grocery stores.
