The ammo is pretty scarce these days. I think the precise name of the round is 5.45x39.
A lot of its dimensions are based off the old AK-47 round, but ballistically it's more similar to the .223 caliber AR-15 cartridge.
Plain old AK-47 ammo is the better part of a dollar per round right now, so I couldn't even tell you what a box of AK-74 ammo would cost.

Drone warfare is absolutely terrifying and I'm glad I never had to deal with it. Has to be the most helpless feeling in the world. Nothing to defend yourself against it.
