Next week is going to be cold. Highs in the upper 30's-lower 40's and lows in the upper teens - lower 20's cold.

There's even a slight possibility of a dusting of the white stuff in the BR area Wednesday morning, as evidenced by the EURO model.

I heard on the news that an airline pilot spotted Santa’s sleigh on its way in from New York City.

I am NOT preparing for ANY potential weather event until Peej weighs in.

If south Louisiana gets anything, it would likely be sleet/freezing rain and it's looking at this point in time to be the night of December 26th with just a warm 75 degree, rainy Christmas Day.

If it's 75 on Christmas day, that would seem to rule out freezing rain on the 26th. Surfaces have to be cold enough for it to stick.

The most recent run (12z) is out and the only snow/sleet I see is on the 24th in Arky/DFW area, nothing on the 26th except for some crappy weather in DC/Philly/NYC

Too bad it won't snow Christmas Eve day. It would be cool to perform outside the dome in that.

12z run shows a much colder, albeit drier, Christmas day. Mid 30s at 6AM Chrismas day. Mid 20s at 6AM on the 26th.

That last GFS could be a snow producer, if that low in the gulf was deeper. It's still in fantasy land, but that's the sort of set up you'd be looking for.
