5Went to O’Reilly’s the other day to buy replacement wipers for my truck. Cheapest wipers were $16 apiece for 22” wipers. Prices ranged from $12 apiece to $25 for all sizes. WTF?
It’s been maybe a year since I bought some, but damn I don’t remember them being that much. Ended up buying some on Amazon for $11 for a pair.
Is there a worldwide rubber shortage or something? frick.

You can still pick up cheap ones at Walmart for about 4-5 bucks but they are cheap and not just inexpensive.
Wipers are a relatively inexpensive but significant safety feature for a vehicle, I do mentally complain about the price but there is a difference and I pay for the ones that work better longer for me.

on 11/29/20 at 10:00 am to bhtigerfanThey still have cheap blades, but you get what you asks for. A cheap pair of blades may last you a year. Try a higher price set, they last 2+ years, and they just seem to work better. I have noticed they are quieter as well.

I have my windscreen wipers custom-made for my vehicles in a small Scottish Highlands village by a fourth generation wiper maker.
Cost is no option for such an important safety accoutrement.
