Should High Schools Have A Course That Teaches Real Life Skills?
Should high schools have a class, that students have to take all 4 years of HS that teaches shite these kids should know after they graduate HS?

Things like:
- Basic finances (and how student loans work)
- basic skills on different programs (excel, access, etc)
- How to change a tire
- CPR

What else should be added?

How to properly put a boat anchor in the water without dragging the fishing poles with it. Yea today was a rough day, saved my poles though

I think you know the answer to this, and that everyone will agree that it's needed. However...this troll for upvotes will backfire cause it's you.

No need for any of that when they can just post on the OT

A lot of schools do, but kids pick up quick it's one of the "easy" classes and dick around until tests and then pass them with ease.

Yes, I guess, if the kids don’t have parents

I agree, but there are a lot of kids who come from single parent homes or just have shitty parents. That's who I think would benefit the most from it.

A simple “shop” and “home eco” class did a lot of good back in the day.

Other than the tire changing, most schools do all of this. And tire changing takes about an hour to teach max.

There are several life skills programs available outside of school to kids all over the country.

Yes.

And more funding and promotion should go into the vocational/trade schools. Many have been left to die for far too long.

Minus the Microsoft excel, these were the skills my dad taught me. Dont spent more than you make is a revelation to some people. It’s why Dave Ramsey is top ten on radio/podcasts. Common sense isn’t that common.

Why would one think a high school class would make a difference? The ones who know how to do it already will pay attention, while the ones who really need it will not.
