Short story. No flippant details.
A friend of 21 years and his wife came to the house two weeks ago Saturday. Me with my girlfriend, him with his wife of 19 years. Drinks, dinner and a movie. Fast forward two hours in and his wife attempts to kiss me in a romantic way on the back deck. We're all 4-5 drinks deep and sauced but this was a sober-up moment for me. Really uncomfortable. I didn't recripocate and played it off like it was no big deal. She was embarassed and apologized. That was it. I knew from him and our conversations they were having issues. They have two kids with one going through a rebellious period, and they were going through one of those periods when you don't communicate with your spouse.

So I told him about it. He got red-faced angry at me, not his wife. I thought we were going to throw fists for a minute. I thought it was the right thing to do to tell him. That's what you're supposed to do as a dude, right? Now they have both pretty viciously formed an alliance against me. I don't have Facebook or anything that would embarass me but they have called my GF and she's fairly pissed off at me too for no reason.

My decision tree is this:

- Talk to GF. This is a trust issue and if you don't believe me then there's not a relationship. She was told I made the advance by my friend's wife. I'm just not a person who does that if someone is married, and she should damn well know that by now.

- Try to talk sense into my friend. He's a good dude but being manipulated. I guess move on if I can't talk any sense into him.

Should I have not said anything? That's really the only question. This is a good friend of mine so that's standard.

Have to talk to gf. You’re right about the trust thing.

Your friend is an idiot, let him get cheated on and move on with your life.

Obviously this is where you fricked up. You should have pretended like it didn't happen and not mentioned it to anyone.

Should’ve kept your mouth shut. That way, you could’ve avoided all the drama. Also, you could’ve filed that away so you could bang her later.

ETA - I’m not sure that you know what “flippant” means

That ship has sailed.

There's no decision tree here, you need to completely cut both of them as soon as possible.

Yes, you should not have said anything. But you did. Hope it works out.

I had a similar incident about three years ago when a married couple came to dinner at our house. Husband was a client of mine and the wife was a good friend of my wife. Right before they left she grabbed my package while looking straight into my eyes. A couple days later I thanked her and told her not to worry about it but that it wasn’t happening. No intrigue. No defensiveness. No scandal.

Next time discreetly decline and reassure her that she isn’t busted and it won’t be a problem. If she’s not completely nuts, that should be the end of it.

OT ratings of GF and friend's wife would help us immensely in this conversation.
