It’s nice to see the Politards have moved on from ruining this thread with gun control debates to fighting about Israel, racism, and general politics.
Keep up the great work fellas.

How they named the ones who died?
I searched for updates, but the most recent ones were just new updates for that website or news and not really new info on this tragedy.

“The fatal victims of the April 17 attack include Tiru Chabba, a 45-year-old father and executive for a campus vendor, and Robert Morales, a beloved high school football coach who worked at the university's dining services department.”

I detest democrats no differently than I detest you far right nut jobs. You both are destroying this country.
What I pointed out was the hypocrisy where you guys seemingly celebrate and poor insults out whenever it's a minority.. yet evade, defend and empathize with excuses of mental help and parental or societal failures when it's not a minority.
You guys (democrats and far right) do the same bullshite

This story sure did go away quick. So it ended up being some fricked up person with a shitty past like every other shooter and we couldn't politicize it? Bummer.
I guess the Starbucks sipper indeed did not video a dead girl on campus?

quote:European countries use huge amounts of psychiatric medications as well. In the US 12,000,000 people under 24 years old take them. If they are the cause, why do we see so relatively few of these events? Only 23% of mass shooters were on psychiatric medications.
Like clockwork.
You want an explanation for why this is more prevalent here than other countries? Compare the use of stimulants and anti-depressants, not gun laws

A lot of times when people get rich they feel guilty about the shitty things they did to other people in order to to make themselves rich.
I’m sure this happens from time to time, but most people who get rich do it honorably. My partners and I got rich. We were middle class people who started a business, stayed within the law, treated employees respectfully and made shite tons of money. None of us feel bad about it because none of us did anything materially wrong. I know that all of my partners have been very generous with charitable giving, as have I, with each giving at least 10% away. And I think most self-made rich people I know are the same.
I do believe that a lot of people who inherit their place and money feel vaguely disquieted about it. And that leads to the effect you discussed. Also, some people who have spectacular success very young get that way.

I’m asking this as a genuine question and nothing else, but does that number include gang shootings as well?

By no means is this directed at you but I really dislike when one of these events happen and the first thing people do is look for political leanings so they can have a ‘gotcha’ moment. The only way their political affiliation really matters is if they are doing it for the cause.
Regardless of this guy’s political beliefs, religion beliefs, or even what his favorite food was, frick this guy.

Every year, Japan's death count because of guns is in the single digits. They are almost always related to organized crime. Japan has a massive problem with mental health, and they prescribe antidepressants. They do have very strict gun laws.
The United States does not have very strict gun laws. Over 46,000 people died in the United States last year because of guns.
It doesn't do anyone any good to lie about things. This is not a mental health problem.
No one in the United States died last year because of a nuclear bomb being set off. Is that because we have a perfect mental health situation or is it because we have very strict controls on who can have a nuclear weapon.

I guess we need to take the gun vending machines out of Wal-Mart now. Please go try and buy a gun legally without any background check. Generally speaking most 'gun' people are not opposed to gun laws like background checks.

How many of those deaths were gang related?

In most school shootings it is a mental health issue.

And nobody died from a gun just laying on a table. We do have strict rules about owning a gun. However I am sure that number you quoted was done solely by the actual owner of the gun and never by someone who stole it.
