Dude we must know each other. I went to HS with everyone mentioned in your post. I even know the owner of Cooley's where this all happened.
Cooley's later became the Branding Iron BBQ.
Don Pedigo had was serving those killer steaks across the street a La Rouge Garden.
Drank almost every night at the old Broadmoor Lounge on Madeline Ct. Later became Sonny's. I had a Pool Team out of there.
Also drank/shot pool lot at Mr. G's Tavern at Sharp and Fla.
I worked at Shakey's in the late 70's until we got busted drinking beer in the cooler.
The Sports Page was an awesome follow up for the old Papa Joe's crowd.
My buddy Alan was the bouncer at Mike's. He kept a wall of shame book, pictures of all the drunk fricks he roughed up and kicked out.
The Quarter Note was a killer place to hook up with cougars (before they were called that) and frustrated housewives (if you were into such).
When Skaggs-Albertsons was built, it closed down the local Villa Oaks AG store. Then they hired all nubian natives to work there, who stole em blind and ran them out of business. Now there is nothing there. Same scenario repeated itself across the country. Sad.....but that was damn cool liquor dept there that introduced me to a lot of new beer.

Hahahaha. Yes we do. That guy was great. He would wreck the stage at the Varsity and Fred's. Dude stayed in character with the jacket, hat and glove.
On that note, the Varsity retro night in early 2000s was good stuff.

Lots of stories from those days.
Yep, Jan is my mom. I've heard lots of those stories.

Didn't they build that in 1968?

That was a Taco Bell for years. I think it went in in '69 or '70.
The trashy little car lot next to the Whitney bank was a Burger King forever.
The Post office on Marilyn was in the Broadmoor shopping center.
