My dad was the president of the club before he died in 06. He loved that place. I used to meet him there for lunch on Thursdays for fried chicken. We actually had his funeral there and poured his ashes into the lake on hole 11. They named the lake after him. Good times.

Grew up in/on Hickory Ridge Blvd in the late 80s & early 90s. Glorious times. Good neighborhood kids. Rode our bikes all over. Halloween was the absolute tits. Christmas lights on nearly every home.

Ask him to throw my Calloway sand wedge back to me.
We were members when I was a kid and they had a great 4th of July fireworks show and the dining room was very nice too. I used to get popcorn in the Men's lounge.
I have a picture from the State Times of my parents standing around the 18th green watching Arnold Palmer putt out to win the 1961 Baton Rouge Open.

Jacques beat the hell out of three negroes when he got stabbed. Mansfield had gotten in a fight a few days earlier. Day after stabbing, Mansfield drove on campus with his shotgun in the rack. He was kind of crazy but after what happened to Yancy, not a surprise. That would mess with anyone's head.

Before it was Sports Unlimited it was a supermarket called National.
Chuckie Cheeses was Showbiz Pizza.
Ground Pati was the best burger around.
There was another arcade on S. Sherwood called Games Galore.
Schweggmans opened near Parkview and at the time was the biggest grocery store ever.

I knew Chris Weaver and he was a maniac. I went to his first wedding to, no shite, Bambi that he met a nickel beer night at whatever that joint was next to the Skaggs-Albertsons. He got hammered and got into a huge fistfight with about 5 people including his groomsman that told him he banged Bambi the night before. Wildest wedding I've ever been to, somewhere off Greenwell Springs road
Graduated with him. He was a jackass for sure but RIP

Yeah he wasn't the most pleasant dopehead that for certain.
And Pepe it was Bobby Meadors Catfish House. He also had a fishing show on local tv. I went to school with his son Randy.

Start your own thread, rich kid. This is for normal people that didn't live in the fancy new area of town.

Just like every other 10+ year old apartment complex in Baton Rouge. A ghetto full of government tit suckers.

All of my memories before high school took place in that area. My parents both grew up just across Florida blvd from broadmoor and Sherwood. I still think about it. How about the store New Generation? I can remember going there with my dad.

Those apartments are rough. Remember when Longridge apartments across from Piccadilly on Sherwood were considered luxurious?

I lived there for a little while after I got divorced, not too long after they were built. They were nice but always was uneasy with the shithole across the street.
I had to go collect one of our company trucks not too long ago from an ex-employee that went on a bender. He lived in there and it is now only marginally better than the complex across the street.

Yep. When were they built? I wanna say 2001?
