[quote]A Sewerage & Water Board employee shot his co-worker to death Thursday on a busy Gentilly street corner, according to city officials.
Authorities haven’t discussed a possible motive for the killing. But the suspected killer had taken off work the last few days because of bullying on the job, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
According to surveillance video obtained by WWL-TV from a nearby business, the victim and the alleged shooter, identified as 31-year-old Damon Rideau, were driving in separate cars in opposite directions on Franklin Avenue about 9:55 p.m. Rideau blocked his coworker's path at a U-turn on Sage Street, then got out of his truck and walked briskly to the driver's side of the other man's sport-utility vehicle.
Much of the rest of the action unfolded out of the camera's view, but a witness told WWL-TV that the two men argued before one pulled out a gun and shot the other "three or four times."
"It was cold-blooded," the witness said. "You just can't be running up on people in their cars like that."
Police said the victim was shot in the chest. He was brought to the hospital and died there./quote]

We have a Sewerage & Water Board now? With employees?
Chicken is really watering down this site.

Someone should keep an eye on Simone Biles.

The killing comes a little more than a month after a man allegedly shot a former co-worker from the city’s public works department to death on Elysian Fields Avenue on June 16.
I didn't realize this was the second civil servant on civil servant homicide for the city.

We need more social workers to teach conflict resolution

Pool Board cartel expanding?

Somehow not in the top 10 worst moments for the S&WB

Booked with 2nd degree murder. If convicted, Rideau is looking at life without parole.

This is terrible because now we are down two critical employees who were responsible for patch repairing the roadways. Who is going to put out those orange hazard cones and monitor them for 2 years before another shitty patch job is completed now?

This will merit a 35.0% increase I water bills.

Yes, there is proper protocol for gunning down a co-worker. What a hack.

So sick of 2nd degree murder charges. Why give these people 3 hots and a cot, free medical, dental, and bootycall visits the rest of their lives??

So were the other eight S&WB employees assigned to each shovel (1 to shovel- 7 to watch) able to work out who gets the recliner in the truck now?

Still sounds better than the soccer board.

How much waterboarding experience do I need to apply for one of the vacant positions?
