This front has been doing all kinds of damage to Texas and Oklahoma. How bad will it get here in the BR area?
Saw several reports of 85mph straight line winds in texas.

it fricked us up. lightening caught several homes on fire, huge trees knocked over, and even a big arse light pole at SMU's football facility was broken and fell over.

all in less than an hour

Don't want bad weather, but we could use some rain in BR.

Depends on traffic If it's headed over the basin a good wreck can stop it for hours

Josh on channel 2 just said we'd have rain in the morning, high of 84, turning cooler Friday night. No mention of severe weather.

Probably wouldn't launch the boat tomorrow tho.

y'all are lucky then. it was pitch black for an hour. the wind was pushing the rain so hard against the windows it sounded like hail. a house caught on fire in Arlington and another one on the other side of frisco from me. cause was likely lightening in each case.
