This storm that’s coming across me in Oklahoma is what is coming your way in the morning.

Crazy shite dumping right now here in Covington.

That pic of the sky earlier was crazy! I've seen that eerie tint before, but not like that.

it seems like all the rain in south Louisiana may be stabilizing the air in central Louisiana a bit
hope it stays that way for when that line moves through around 4 AM

If I were a meteorologist, particularly in a NWS office, these are the type storms I would hate forecasting for. Lined out storms with embedded risk of spin up tornadoes. I guess there is a reason that several times over the past few years they have just warned entire segments of a line. At the end of the day, high straight line winds can do tornado-like damage, and people just don't seem to heed a severe thunderstorm warning for high winds.

Could serve to cut off southerly flow, too.

The southern part should start to weaken but maybe it did it's job. Hope so anyway and that 2nd line doesn't get all the way down here.

This cell is impressive as far as wideness. BR sky lit up with horizontal lightening.

Yeah, looking at the future cast, there is plenty of time after tonight's storms move out. There won't be much there to impede moisture from the Gulf.
As Rt3 said, maybe it can sap some of the instability, though.
Looks like it is going to line out and bow pretty good coming into Cen La. Likely to be a high wind event.
