Where are you at Bayou? Looks like it’s right around Bunkie right now but moving faster than I thought. It’ll be in Lafayette before 5 easily.

Anyone else think this has been a more active weather spring compared to lately? Sure seems like it to me.

And now as quickly as it got active it has moved on. Maybe I can get my blue heeler to move over now and I go back to bed.

Downdraft must be right over you. The red is almost immediate. You go from nothing to Hurricane in 30 seconds

Yep that is how it was. Light breeze, lots of thunder and then BOOM! 60 mph winds, heavy rain and tons of lightning and thunder. Then a few minutes later it's all over with.

That tornado that hit Woodworth just skirted you last week. That was a close one. Really seems like that 60 mile separation from where you are to Lafayette is significant as far as severe weather increase.

Yes it just skirted past me. Touched down about 4 miles away. Well I'm headed back to bed. Catch you guys later.

Power is out here east of Opelousas. Raining hard and wind blowing hard.

ETA: We already caught 2.2" of rain yesterday afternoon.

You aint lyin, the wind alone just woke me up. I started checking weather apps and came here to see if there was a tornado warning. Wind is absolutely insane.

Waiting on it in AP right now. Wondering if the wind will hold up and make it to my area or not.
