Why not Predator vs. Tyson? Or Rambo vs. Tyson? Perhaps Darth Vader vs. Tyson while we're at it?

Someone mentioned Frank Dux earlier.

Don't laugh Darth - for pros, the gloves are to protect the hands of the puncher, not the opponent - that's why Tyson broke his hand punching Mitch "Blood" Green on the street in Harlem.

That is nonsense. Hands are broken all the time in striking sports as it is just a risk of the sport. Many boxers also train on the heavy bag without gloves.

The huge amateur gloves, along with headgear, take a lot of the mustard off the punches - the very light pro gloves do not.

Most boxers train with 16oz gloves. The weight of the gloves worn in professional matches is negotiated before the fight takes place.

Not really a fair fight considering I can just sit back and choke him before he even gets close.

In my defense I'll point to the fact that Sith are not known as being fair players.

Yeah, because sending snub fighters to put a torpedo in a 2-meter exhaust shaft is playing totally fair.

When tyson was 19 he began his legend by knocking tomato cans down. Tyson was not a boxer. Anyone that boxed tyson whipped his arse.

Again, we are talking about an mma style cage match. Or a street fight.

You people keep speaking as if the OP proposed a WBC sanctioned boxing match.

If youve ever trained in any fighting sport you would know that tyson was not a good boxer. If he didnt get to bullrush a tomato can and land some uppercuts in the first 3 rounds Tyson had serious problems.

Tyson was a real fighter in real life. Bruce Lee was a make believe fighter who made movies.

I don't believe he should be in the greatest of all time discussion because he folded badly at the end of his career but he fought all comers when he started fighting. He beat Holmes and a decent Bonecrusher Smith. It wasn't his fault there were no decent opponents. When he got out of jail he was a shell of his former self with no head movement and little discipline. He did nto do well when he came back. That ebing said he was a great boxer in his prime.

Does Wladimir Klitschko suck as well because there are no worthy opponents on the horizon?

I just feel like Lee or any other highly skilled MMA fighter could stay far enough away from Tyson and keep kicking his legs till he would either quit or collapse. You can only take those leg kicks for so long.

And I'm saying this with Mike Tyson being my favorite boxer of all time. I literally get a little choked up watching some of his old fights.

How has a thread posing a hypothetical fight between a small actor and exhibitionist vs a giant professional fighter gone 50 pages? Surely, barried in one of these pages is a stipulation that Lee gets a weapon as an equalizer?

I believe Tyson would be destroyed by any high level MMA heavyweight because they would take him down and submit him. Bruce Lee was a 140lb ACTOR so please don't mention him in the same sentence as any highly skilled MMA fighters.

Bruce Lee was a highly trained MMA fighter that also did a lot of movies.

Do yall think Jose Aldo could chop Tyson down in his prime?
Remember this is in the open streets with plenty of room to move, not in a cage or ring.

Never fought. Let's just call him an MMA studier. And at comparing the fighting ability of Bruce Lee to Jose Aldo.
