It's a flu shot. You hit the nail on the head. We take the flu shot for convenience...not to save our lives or lives of others around us. Some take it because it could save their life. Those people are the same people who really need the vaccine. For everyone else...the Covid vaccine is a motherfricking flu shot. It only really helps you. Because vaccinated or not...it's an airborne respiratory virus. You cannot stop that.
And there is nothing wrong with that. If you want to take the shot...take it. If you don't...don't. We should leave it at that. But...there's no money in choice. There's money in getting everyone "vaccinated". It's plain as day, and anyone unable to see that has ulterior motives.

Yes you quoted the article but it isn't saying anything that wasn't in the OP. Yes we know the viral load in breakthrough cases isn't lowered in vaccinated infected individuals.

Exactly, when you have a large percentage of vaccinated people in a population, the breakthrough cases are going to be composed of a lot of vaccinated people.

Probably because somewhere someone told you they were bad, likely connected with the word cytotoxic. But that's fine because we have other types of vaccines available.
For reference, the Novavax is a subunit vaccine meaning it uses a part (in the case the spike protein) of the virus to initiate the immune response. One of the big benefits is it does not contain PEG which some people are allergic to.

Green is vaxxed, red is unvaxxed. The waning immunity is proving to be a tad overblown from the original israel studies where proper stratification had not yet been concluded

I had Covid in March, so I haven't gotten the jab, but from what I've seen I am likely as protected as those who did.

Great! It works for old and compromised. I never disputed that.
We were told to get the jab to stop the spread and save our kids from the deadly Delta variant. They said our kids would die id we didn't get the vaccine.
Now, it is know the vaccine doesn't stop the spread.
