I hate to be a pita, but as someone so torn by this seriously, the J&J is the most old school, correct?

I want nothing to do with spike proteins and I truly can't tell you why. I just don't.

You're implying that breakthrough infections are common.

I know 7 people who have tested positive for COVID over the past 3 weeks. 6 were vaccinated and one was a 3 year old.

Breakthrough infections are not "rare". And that is why there is a ton of talk about boosters.

It's at least as good, and probably way better, as the flu shot that 60% of the country clamors over themselves to get every single year.

It’s less effective than it lol. And we’ve had that for decades

Your anecdotes are great.... and convenient.

And even if they're legit, any of those people hospitalized? Showing any real symptoms?

The data used for the study do not show how likely it is that a fully vaccinated person with the Delta variant can pass on the infection to another individual, compared to an unvaccinated individual with the virus. But the high viral loads found in the study are a strong indicator that the risks of transmission from both vaccinated and unvaccinated people with the Delta variant could be similar.

That is just patently false.

ETA Listen the misinformation that the CDC and other public health orgs spew daily on case counts, deaths, hospitalization, and the vaccine is incredibly harmful to the public in general. However, this kind of misinformation is exactly the same....it is all a great disservice to the public.

If herd immunity is not a possibility, the vaccines are protecting yourself, not so much about protecting others. That was my point about woodshedding the vaccine passports.

The money train keeps rolling. Jump on, take the ride. We will deal with the repercussions later.

No, I have never claimed that the vaccines don't protect people from severe infection.

It is clearly both

The vaccine protects you because you are less likely to get any infection and severe infection

Since this is true, you are also reducing your chances of spreading it to others

But we're discussing infections with viral loads high enough to spread the virus, so...
