You can think whatever you want. Pointing out superiority due to power projection of CBGs means frick all in todays world. China has missile capabilities that could decimate a battle group

I am not pro Russia, but want to remind you why this war began. Ukraine elected a pro Russia president while Obama was president. We didn’t like that and did everything we could to antagonize Russia, including propping up a reality star who would do our bidding. We wanted Ukraine in NATO , despite the fact that for the last 15 years Russia advised that they viewed NATO’s continued eastward expansion as a threat and would not tolerate a border (Ukraine) with a NATO country. What does Biden do when he takes office, everything possible to bring Ukraine in to NATO.

The war is on Russia’s front porch. They view it as defending themselves from being boxed in by NATO and creating a buffer against aggressive expansion. This is their view , regardless of how you judge it. How many US or EU troop casualties are you willing to accept to defeat Russia so Ukraine can be in NATO? Is it one million ? 2 ? 5? Russia tolerated approximately 27 million dead in WW2. US suffer about 407,000 dead in the same war. You have NO IDEA about what suffering the Russian is willing to endure to protect their homeland. If you think video game technology is going to defeat the Russians, then you are a FOOL. It takes manpower and munitions. We are already running out and looking to foreign stockpiles of bullets and guns for Ukraine to use. As I said in another thread , unless a civil war and sever economic strike begin in Russia, they will not stop fighting. They stopped fighting in WW1 and Afghanistan only bc of civil war and economic strife.

Pretty intense war. Maybe we should close our embassy in Kyiv.

I'll post this same message as I did in the other WW3 thread.

I'll give you a brief history lesson. Do you think the US won world war 2? Well, got news for you, we didn't.

We dropped bombs on Japan, and they surrendered but we were not at war with just them. All of our allies and enemies were UN nations, US wasn’t at the time in 1941. Dec 7th 1941 Japan didn’t want to attack us. They drew the short end of the stick.

Isoroku Yamamoto
You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.
Kamikaze Pilots because they knew it would be suicide.

4 years later on September 7th 1945, signed the UN treaty which took effect 90 days later on December 7th 1945, exactly 4 year anniversary of Pearl Harbor. The war ended, the UN got the US to join the UN. New York City in federal code definition is the UN.
To give you an idea that we are the UN research:
-Chinese police force in their own building in New York. Communist China has opened a police department in NYC.
-Salt Lake City we’ve got a UN building, an inland port. What does that mean? They can drop whatever off on the coast and ship it to Salt Lake City before it goes through customs.
-Salt Lake County got rid of the sheriff’s department, under unified police.
-Connecticut has also got rid of all their sheriff in all their counties in Connecticut and all under unified police.

Fast forward today, Russia is fighting the UN. They don't want Ukraine to join the UN because, well it's obvious. Russia is fighting Ukraine and the UN and all their allies. Fortunately, Russia is winning the war and defeating them. I'll leave it at that, but if you had to put a name on it, Russia is having their World War.

So it's not that they think they are such badasses, they are simply in the same situation the US was in in 1941, trying to oppose the UN for good reason.

What is the distinction between “total carriers” and “aircraft carriers” in that table? Just out of curiosity.

Bad shape compared to who? Who has more technology, special forces, mass competent troops, air force, and navy on our scale?

Man there are so many inaccuracies in this post I don’t even know where to start.

ETA: I guess I’ll try anyway…

quote:

All of our allies and enemies were UN nations, US wasn’t at the time in 1941.

You’re not off to a great start considering the UN didn’t exist in 1941. If you’re referring to the League of Nations, Germany, Italy and Japan had all left the LoN by 1939.
quote:

Dec 7th 1941 Japan didn’t want to attack us. They drew the short end of the stick.

That’s quite a take.
quote:

To give you an idea that we are the UN research:
-Chinese police force in their own building in New York. Communist China has opened a police department in NYC.

China has been doing this shite all over the world, not just in NYC. Multiple nations are calling for them to stop and the FBI raided that NYC office a few months ago.
quote:

-Salt Lake County got rid of the sheriff’s department, under unified police.

The Salt Lake UPD is run by the elected sheriff…
quote:

-Connecticut has also got rid of all their sheriff in all their counties in Connecticut and all under unified police.

Connecticut has never had strong county governments, and the state got rid of county governance entirely over 60 years ago. All that was left were their 8 remaining sheriffs, and they were eliminated in 2000. Not sure wtf this has to do with anything, though.

Ukraine has been a member of the UN since 1945.

Compared to our standard. Comparing one country to the other is meaningless. You think sheer numbers of these things matter?

10% of the US F-22 inventory wasn’t destroyed in combat, it was destroyed by hurricane Michael because they were not battle ready or capable or flying them out of danger.

Imagine losing 17 F-22s due to a storm. Expound that to the aging fleet of Blackhawks, C-130s and B-52s.

It's not meaningless when the country thinking of attacking the US thinks about it.

These are Numbers of known tech, this doesn't include stuff we don't know about. Plus the countries you're saying don't care about these things are not perfectly managed either.

Bottom line is, right now, we are top military dog by FAR, and every world leader knows it. If you were a world leader you'd agree. China and Russia together fighting the US is like each of them fighting two fronts as well.
