What we will see is the harassment, violence, and boycott threats aimed at national and international businesses that operate in abortion restrictive states… cheered on by the media and Spleen

I was working at Wal-Mart making minimum wage when I realized that I forgot about my "white privilege" card and proceeded to use it for a white-collar profession, silly me.

My wife and her son came here 17 years ago from a 3rd world country without much. She has been very successful and was able to give him a great life in one of the most expensive states in the country through her hard work. We met 4 years ago and even still she is very independent and determined. Her story is the same for many immigrants. Why can they do it but these certain people in AL you speak of can't? Don't feed me your sympathy BS.
Good for your wife . People do come out of poverty despite the odds. Most don’t.

My gut definitely turns worse at the thought of a baby in a crack house then of the 10 week fetus. But I understand that’s just one opinion

Stop playing God. You don’t get to decide who lives an dies. Even a baby born in a crack house of America has a better shot than probably 70% of babies born in other parts of the world.

Life is suffering, by definition. If you are trying to maximally reduce suffering then why not end everyone’s life? You have a pretty nihilistic world view

you could just read it yourself and confirm that it does indeed provide multiple exception for mother's health

That's false and can be proven by tracking individual IRS tax returns.

You made a blanket statement about Alabama. I proved you were wrong making that statement.
AL ranks near last in all those categories. That’s the blanket statement. Refuting it by sayin “what about Huntsville…?” doesn’t change anything.

So then you agree with me that killing a baby will do nothing to help some people achieve any form of upward mobility.

Glad we got that out of the way.

All of those save for the economy are the pet projects of the DNC. Maybe it’s time we reevaluate the liberal policies implemented over the last 60 years.

I will not call you a moron but you do seem to struggle with intelligent thought - and I WILL answer your question - the reason that dudes care is because abortion kills human life - so, yes, to those of us who see abortion as killing human life, it does impact us - your argument that "when have laws stopped people from doing something" is absolutely ludicrous - laws define a civilized society and the list of things that laws keep civilized people from doing is so lengthy that space does not permit recitation here - at its most basic level - when you stop at a stop sign, you stop because the law says you must - you can be excited about the SCOTUS decision because it correctly interprets the U.S Constitution while being against make the legal age to by an AR15 because the Second Amendment says you cannot -

Huntsville and the B'Ham suburbs are doing quite well in all the categories you mentioned. Even B'Ham proper is trending up.

So no, it's not a statewide issue. For someone who shits all over Alabama, why are you living there?

There is no health condition that requires a doctor to chop up a fetus to save a mothers life

Why wouldn’t they just deliver the baby and try to save it and the mother?

It’s a bullshite excuse

If you are going to downvote you need to show me the example where you need to kill a baby to save a mother as opposed to delivering the baby early and trying to save both.

You do realize that rape/molestation can result in a pregnancy...right? The victim doesn't really have a choice whether they get pregnant.

A study published in 1996 estimated that there are more than 32,000 rape-related pregnancies in the US every year.

The number of abortions where the pregnancy occurred due to rape or incest is significantly lower than 1% annually.

This is the ultimate red-herring in this debate. It’s like focusing on samurai sword attacks when discussing combating rising violent crime.
