Recommend me an eye doctor in Baton Rouge for kids

My 4-year old failed her vision screening at school. I called a couple of doctors and had a hard time finding one who sees kids. Finally found a place who’d see her and took her for an exam, but I was hoping someone could recommend some other doctors for future visits.
Anyone have a doctor who they can recommend for my kid?

This. Dr Black is great. But he stays BOOKED. Appointments are 2-3 months out.

Sprague Eustis in New Orleans is probably worth the commute

we took my then 1 year old to Dr. Black at the Pediatric Eye Care center by OLOL and were very happy. our pediatrician recommended him

Go over to Gatorchatter.com, go to their message boards. EyeDocGator answers questions like this all the time. He is retired so spent a lot of years in the business and knows a lot of people.

I went to Trio on Essen and Perkins. My daughter failed her's at school and that was the recommended place. No complaints

Dr Andrew Black is top notch when it comes to treating children's eye issues. Well worth the wait to get in.
