“racist” term is meaningless

The accusation is thrown around so much these days that the word has become meaningless.

The term used to have some teeth. A racist person was someone that would do harm to another just because of their race. I knew some hardcore racists growing up and they were solidly behind the notion. That blacks were not meant to be in their presence unless they were serving them something. They pretty much saw them as sub human. Not saying they’d physically abuse them but they certainly held the belief that their life was worth less just because of their race. I’d call the behavior racist. And they’d jot care of anyone called them that. It was a badge of honor.

I’ve also known hard core klansmen. People that held rally’s and marched. These were people with beliefs so deeply felt that they were driven to burn crossed in peoples yards that they believed to be lovers of other races. They held the word “racist” in very high regard.
I knew David Duke and spoke to him about his beliefs. He was an interesting person in that he saw the klan as unsophisticated and wanted to put a new face on things. He wanted a more polished look. His belief seemed to be more of a separate but equal position. He didn’t care if you called him racist.

Now the term is thrown around with such abandon that it’s just meaningless. It almost changed daily. Social media gives people the ability to put labels on things at will.

The only ones that are scared to be called racist are politicians, media types and liberals. The reason for that is pure choice. They choose to be outraged at the accusation. The ultimate goal is to make words illegal. It’s the plaintiff lawyers dream afterall if words can be made illegal. This is what they want;. Expand the plaintiff net to include words that hurt people’s feelings.

Bleeding hearts though, always look for reasons to get their feeling hurt
