Protest at the next city Council meeting Sept. 21 4pm

Next meeting is September 21
It’s time we hold the mayor, council members, and police responsible.
A major protest had to happen, all these leaders are majorly incompetent.
1 murder a year should be considered out of control crime.
You don’t solve an issue of not being able to turn left out of street by putting a right turning lane.
How many orange cones and fences sit around problem areas for months or year before they are addressed.

Don’t forget the DA, Hillar Moore.
Edit: oh and all the judges too. District and City judges. One is family to Hillar. She never even tried a case in court but got elected judge. Hillar never tried a case as a prosecutor but he got elected DA. Wonder how they got elected? It all stinks. Deals are made and lies are told to get elected and stay in office and citizens have to suffer the unintended consequences so that a few can politically benefit and have power. The good of the public is secondary.
The vast majority of yall have no clue about the history of BR and how it came to where we are now.
It all stinks.

Need to start with a recall of the mayor. I know lots of folks will sign it.

It only takes 20% signatures you talking maybe 95,000 signatures you can get that at the Tennessee game Cher!

Problem is most of us don't live in EBR anymore.

Claims to know the family for over 30 years.

She was the Chief Clerk to a 19th JDC Senior Judge for 20 years. The absolute BEST training one can get to be a Judge and what almost all Federal Judges have done at one time or another. Trying a case in Court as a Prosecutor or Defense Attorney has less to do with being a Judge than being the Clerk who researches and writes opinions for rulings and monitors procedure.
You are either being disingenious or are just on some sort of rant against the Moore's. I asked multiple times yesterday for a single specific instance of bad policy or a bad decision by the DA's Office and got zilch. You just continue citing "rumors" and baseless accusations. Go away or be specific.

recall is good but takes too long. I agree if people are angry, they need to show up at council meetings and squat. dont leave, don't let some count tell you the agenda isn't open for discussion. Get in their faces and tell them what the agenda is and its about this murder. They don't have the balls or the manpower to arrest or remove everyone.
Also like the idea of hitting out at community business leaders. Put pressure on people like Rolfe McCollister and visible business leaders.

what bothers you about tax paying citizens potentially protesting their local city council for being complacent with the crime in the area?

I don't live in BR, but I do live in EBR, and a recall needs to happen. I'm 100% sure that Kiran would run the news on it. I don't know anything about doing a recall petition, but I'll bet Wednesday would have an idea, or know someone that does.

Pretty sure that the Mayor Pro Teme will toss you unless you are a fat fricker whining about only two slices of bacon on a Sonic cheeseburger.

Downside is that you need 95,000 registered EBR voters.
Probably couldn’t have reached that even if you got everyone inside and outside the stadium for the Southern game.

If for nothing else, remember that showing up to a public hearing in BR and raising hell can catapult your social standing from living at your mother's house to becoming a candidate for U.S. Senate.

Central and Zachary combined are about 50,000 people. You can definitely get 50,000 out of BR proper.
ETA: how many signatures did St George get? You're almost guaranteed at least the much.
