There was never any way I'd vote for John McCain for anything, though. I despised that man long before I was old enough to vote.
So my votes aren't (or weren't) party line, but I'm not going to say "I vote independent" anymore. That's weak. The "Great Sort" is done. There is zero place for centrism, moderation, etc. in politics in 2021. There is a party that barely hides its desire to take my money, destroy my culture, and send my kids to the back of every line.

McConnell's a tool of the Chinese.
Ted Cruz strikes me as a man of conviction. I don't know if he gives a shite about me, or people like me, but I can tell he has real disdain for those to his political left and their ideas, and he will do what he can to oppose them.
