Regardless if it was a 'no knock' warrant they have to announce their presence upon breach.
Another lesson to others, if perps break into your home don't give your location away by using any kind of lighting from shite optics. You know the layout of your home, they do not, don't give up that advantage. Use your Remington 870 with 00 buckshot from behind concealment.

IMHO everything is riding on the bodycam video.
Based on them having to go down a “long hallway”, sounds like a shotgun style house.,
I’d bet they aren’t continually announcing they are police. If not, then it’s entirely plausible that the young man thought it was a home invasion.
What makes it worse, is after they play acted Navy Seals performing a raid on a high value target in Fallujah, the “supposedly dangerous” guy they were looking for turned himself in at the scene.

The police here never release the body cam until way way way after it’s all over. It’s kinda frustrating

From watching the news:
It was a decent brick house, looks like west mobile area to me. (Surprisingly a really violent area due to all the subsidized housing vouchers) it was huge white flight area before everyone left for Baldwin County.
They guy they suspected of dealing drugs wasn’t there.
BTW, Medical marijuana was basically been legal in Alabama longer than Mississippi but we still have bad shite crazy laws on possession, and because of all the bs, litigation, not dispensers yet to open etc. it’s like the 50s.
It was the classic predawn no knock raid.
Second person killed in “no knock raid” in this summer under questionable circumstances.
Mobile police do not ever release any body camera videos until way after everything is over despite being sued over this tons. No clue why as it just creates more distrust.
Mayor Stimpson, who is no liberal, is pissed over this as it going to cause real problems and this city is now majority black so you have to manage it with a coalition.
Basically cops have already admitted they are stopping this. “Will review policies and procedures and make any needed changes “
We will know in about 6 to 10 years what happened

False. Courts have ruled against that because "evidence might get destroyed".
