UPDATE 5/6 BLAKELY IS NOW WITH GOD

Blakely is now with God.

UPDATE 5/6

Her bowels and intestines looked ok! They didn’t have to remove anything!!!!!! They had to make a 3cm incision in her belly. Still no answers as to the blood in her stools. But all those prayers works and praise our lord for his love and grace! They are putting in the hemo catheter just in case but said she can probably resume peritoneal dialysis in 24 hours. She will stay on antibiotics, the ventilator, etc for now. She is so strong that I know she can get over whatever illness this is! I just can’t thank god enough and I love this strong miracle baby girl more than I can ever say!

Blakely is about to have an exploratory laparoscopy to find where she is bleeding from in her stomach. Drs suspect her intestines. They may have to remove a part of her intestines or colon. She may need a colonoscopy bag. Very high risk surgery. It may stop her dialysis or make her switch to a riskier hemo dialysis. Pray pray pray!

They just took her back.

UPDATE 5/4
Blakely's heart rate is fluctuating. The doctor's are meeting at noon to decide when to remove her kidneys.

UPDATE 5/3
We almost lost Blakely today. While receiving dialysis her heart rate and breathing suddenly dropped. They think she may have an infection. They have also reinserted the ventilator tube.

UPDATE 4/26

Kidneys are enlarged and not working. Lungs are small. She also has a genetic disorder. And may need a liver transplant as well as kidney transplant.

UPDATE from Blakely's mom

Going down on sedation to try to get her completely off, doubling milk to 4 ml per hour, getting gas at noon to see if she can get rid of vent tube down her throat and switch to oxygen in nose..... and waiting on dr strattman to discuss holding her while dialysis is happening!!! Dr Gupta is on board w me holding her this afternoon or tomorrow as long as she is tolerating everything well!!!!! Maybe today or maybe tomorrow!!! Eeeeeek!!!!


UPDATE from Blakely's mom.

very uneventful night. Right side chest X-ray looks better this morning but hole in lung is still there but definitely smaller. They gave her some new med that is basically like an adult fluid pill to see if that could get some fluid off bc she is definitely more swollen today in an attempt to buy us some more time before we start dialysis. Should know after lunch how she responds to it. Then they will make a decision on starting dialysis today or tomorrow. Just had to give her more sedation bc she grabbed her feeding tube and almost popped her self in the head but I was standing right here

UPDATE Direct from Blakely's mom.

She’s done! It all went good! The dialysis catheter is in place and they removed the first chest tube! Her vitals stayed strong the entire time! The second chest tube is still there but isn’t draining quite as much so we have a little progress there too! They are cleaning her up and then we can see her. Our little girl is a rock star and all we can do is praise God for a good day! She is teaching us so much already and we love her with all of our hearts!


I would just like to take a moment to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. I feel so helpless not being able to do anything to help.

I have offered my life to God if he would heal her. (I know it doesn't work like that but I wish it did) I just don't know what else to do but to ask for prayers and donations at this point.



Update: Blakely lung collapsed overnite and they had to inert a tube. She is doing much better now. She is a fighter. Here is a picture of her.


Update: Blakely's kidneys are not working and are enlarged. If they cause too much pressure on the lungs the kidneys will have to be removed. Keep the prayers coming.

My wife says yall have restored her faith in humanity. Thanks everyone.

I write this with a heavy heart. Blakely was born on April 5th, 2021.  She has many problems including her lungs and kidneys are not working properly. She will more than likely have to have a kidney transplant. Not sure about the lungs yet as they have a hole in each one. This is for my Granddaughter. If you can, please help! My daughter and her husband have already had to move to New Orleans from Monroe.

The funds will be used to help offset the medical expenses that are already overwhelming. I ask this for my daughter as she has more than she can handle.
