re: Police released video of the fatal shooting of unarmed black man in Oklahoma

Killing unarmed citizens, cops today have turned into such pussy's, pathetic.

I saw someone on my FB feed(a former coworker) post a link to the Tulsa shooting with the line we hear all the time, something along the lines of, "And people wonder why some cops are being targeted"

The amazing part of that is that she was actually involved in a shooting incident where a dude came in and shot up a salon, and her mother was there as well and was shot and killed.

Hmmmmmm....so it's a statistical fact that blacks are twice as likely to die from firearms than whites....

Black Americans are more than twice as likely to die from gun violence than whites, according to a new study that surveyed more than a decades' worth of data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Between 2000 and 2010, the death rate due to firearm-related injuries was more than 18.5 per 100,000 among blacks, but only nine per 100,000 among whites. For Hispanics, it was just over seven per 100,000, and for all other races it was just below 3.5 per 100,000.


More food for thought:

– FACT: From 2011 to 2013, 38.5 per cent of people arrested for murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault were black. This figure is three times higher than the 13% black population figure. When you account for the fact that black males aged 15-34, who account for around 3% of the population, are responsible for the vast majority of these crimes, the figures are even more staggering.
– FACT: Despite the fact that black people commit an equal or greater number of violent crimes than whites, whites are almost TWICE as likely to be killed by police officers.

So if african americans commit more crimes (remind you it's a fact) wouldn't it make sense that the percentage of their arrests parallel this?

African Americans control their own destiny...it's not being defined by white people or police.

I guess no one will post the Ofc Dinkheller video? You know the one where the shooter was acting crazy, reaches into his vehicle several times, while Dinkheller gives verbal commands to stop. Shooter continues to reach into vehicle, eventually pulling out a rifle and killing Dinkheller.

That was a very similar situation where the officer was hesitant to apply force and it cost him his life. It is a video every officer has seen numerous times.
