Sorry for another COVID thread but
I’m really curious…what would you do if your job issued a mandatory vaccine mandate?
What other freedoms would you give up and what freedom would be the line when you quit?

This is so fricking stupid. "Oh my freedoms". Are your freedoms taken away when you buy a house and have to provide the bank with all kind of information? Were your freedoms taken away when you received all of your vaccinations in the first year of you life? (since you didn't have a say so as to whether or not you wanted to get those vaccines). You can apply this "freedom" logic to a lot of shite in life.. But for whatever reason this one situation makes some of you lose your shite.

Everyone acting like getting the vaccine is some huge first step in a police state when vaccine mandates have been in place well before a lot of us were alive.

I'd take it. My wife is a nurse at Ocshner and I told her I'd get it with her since she's being forced. Not giving up our careers over it.

Thanks OweO. Correlating this vaccine to taking out a mortgage really made me stop and consider that I should go get vaccinated. It all makes sense now.

I’m waiting for it. They sent out an email telling everyone to update their profile in the site by the tenth on their status. Have option of in shot stages, fully vaccinated, not vaccinated, or decline to answer(which will then be assumed unvaccatinated they said).
I expect from there they ostracize the unvaccinated and possibly look to remove us. So..yea.

The distinction between a polio vaccine that was revolutionary and kept people from a wheelchair or death and the optics and messaging around the covid vaccine, which has a 99.9 percent survival rate, even for the unhealthy, are pretty clear. If you can't read the tea leaves of what the vaccine mandates actually stand for, you have no hope. As with many, many things its not the actual vaccine that people are against.
