Exactly! Have you read any stories on Pits that took a bullet for their families? What about the ones where they saved them from intruders? Of course no one reads those, right? All they see is what they want to see.

are you retarded?

the dog attacked and killed the owner's own daughter, why shouldn't the mom be held responsible for neglect/murder?

All dogs are liabilities to some degree. With more dangerous breeds, you really need to use a good breeder.....and be willing to accept some level of concern from the neighbors.

A lot of Pit Bull owners are in denial and dismiss the perfectly valid concerns as a mistake or misunderstanding.

I'm not reading through this pissing contest, but this woman's own pit attacked her child?

If you have young children and you own pitbulls, your children should be taken from you.

mean evil pit-looking dog attacking poor innocent shepherd-looking dog (after determining that the Trayvons outside were probably just walking to get skittles and tea):

Sadly, there are a lot of great pit bulls out there with fantastic owners.....but without knowing them or their dog, you are more than justified in worrying about your family's safety around the animal.

Do you recall seeing many (if any) classy folks that own pits?

yes. lots. people who aren't concerned about their image and take in these dogs who've been abused and abandoned. i think that's very classy.

Yeah. Poor people getting bit and having scars for life. Or poor kids being traumatized and possibly fatally injured. Yeah, I think "lol" is a great way to put it.

This, kids, is what I mean by me hating "dog people". They're usually retarded.

Our dog is part Pitbull. I wouldn't dream of letting him play with a small child, but he's a damn good dog.

i've had MANY people say she looks pit (see face in first pic). not saying they're right, but as someone mentioned above, people's kneejerk, "It was a pit" reactions are often absurd.

and, i'm posting pics because they're more interesting than this conversation has become.

They're often incapable of looking at animals objectively, yes.

i agree. But i can't tell you how many people have said she does, especially when she's making the face in the first pic (go back a few pages to where she's looking up at me).

i think she's more beagle than pit. lol.
