again, lucky they were near their house and could go inside. but if you ever see a dog running at you, it is best to not run the opposite direction. they will catch you. and it will only create more anxiety for them. your best bet is to give them your side or back. a dog sees this as non-confrontational.

Or be confrontational and drop that MFer with a few well placed 9mm slugs

Both of these breeds still suck arse and deserve to be outlawed.

hate pitbull’s, but that dog was wagging his tail and looking to be fed or petted

Tell that to your kid when you don’t pull them inside the next time a jihadi pit is coming at you

This is true but not when it’s locked in on you chasing you down. No way I’m turning my back to a pit that’s in attack mode

A black family on their porch in the ghetto and a white guy's pitbull runs up. What a plot twist.

dog wasnt being aggressive, just looking to join the fun. still idiot owner for not controlling dog and porch goers would have been justified putting a bullet in it when "charging".

i know it looks like he was going in for the attack, but if you look at the dog's body language, he was not in attack mode. he was curious, owner is a POS for not securing the dog better --- and the people's reaction on the porch could have set off the dog (not saying their action wasn't warranted). but dog could have got them if he wanted to, which he didn.t
I’ll take some flak with you on this one.

I’m not a fan of the breed. Saying that, everything about that dog’s bearing and posture signaled play and curiosity, even to the point of a submissive posture when entering the premises. Add to that the owner’s serious embarrassment instead of abject terror makes me think that dog has been well treated and socialized around children since it was a puppy.

Even so, the owner is really stupid not having his animal under control. Different circumstances could have had horrible consequences.

The best of course of action to take in this situation is to take off at a dead sprint and bring the fight to the pit bull

Maybe once it got up on the porch, but that fricker was bee-lining to there down the street at full speed before it got there. I'm not sure how you can determine at that juncture that it was just "coming to play."

By the fact that it had ample opportunity do anything it wanted and it just approached with its tail wagging. Any other reading of this is just plain moronic.

I've worked in prison systems before, and if you could see what a well trained German Shepherd is capable of doing to a man, you would understand that their world class temperment mask one of the most dangerous animals a human could legally own.
