Also, there was a murder in a park in Gwinnett County on Wednesday. An 18 year old girl was shot.
Though they may be related the mo is different which would indicate that it's not a serial killer. Though serial killers can change how they kill someone it usually is a refinement in their killing not a different way to kill.

I’ve heard rumors that the fbi is down here investigating this as a possible serial killer.

That would be a significant deescalation, which is usually something you don't usually see with serial killers. I'm guessing the Gwinnett murder was just a robbery/crime of opportunity. Just another example of how quickly America's cities are becoming lawless

FBI is assisting but I don't think there is any firm suspicion it's a serial killer.

I certainly agree with both of you. I was just commenting on why there’s a lot of speculation on social media of a serial killer. The only things in common is the gender and a park location. With the rampant upswing in crime in the metro Atlanta area, the Gwinnett killing doesn’t seem too out of the ordinary— unfortunately.

Columbo, calling Columbo, he is the only chance we have.
His glass eye can see into the past and solve every murder.

There's a shooting in Gwinnett every day. I live here. What's the potential link to the Piedmont Park slaying in downtown Atlanta?

I’ve heard that they found DNA on the dog, possibly skin under it’s nails from defending itself or the owner. Unsubstantiated though

Not gonna lie, looks like the dude in the last picture has blood all over his wifebeater and is probably trying to get a homie to pick him up on his phone. If they found a bloody shirt somewhere in the park, this is my prime suspect
If this is a serial killer then he probably fled by way of the creek or the railroad tracks would be my guess. There are a lot of exits that don't involve heading out onto 10th.

To my knowledge, not a very good one. Likely just people speculating on social media after seeing 2 murders of 2 different women at 2 different parks within the same metro area and trying to link the two together.

If so, the killer would have to have their DNA entered into the CODIS system as a felon convicted of certain violent crimes. There could be a possibility that the killer does not have a criminal record.

Could be the same guy that killed the Oconee couple a few years ago

Could be ordinary, everyday toddler DNA, of course.

Or a relative did Ancestry or 23andMe DNA results.

Maybe the same guy that killed the elderly Eatonton couple a few years ago. Still hasn't been solved.
I still believe that was the cartel.

We had a big thread here a few years ago about that. I have read alot about it.
Why do you think it was a cartel of some kind?

I live near Campagnola & go there occasionally. Katie waited on me many times. I didn't know her personally but she was always very nice to me. This thing is beyond sad. For the FBI to get involved immediately tells me this is a high profile case on what happened to her. Bless her soul & her puppy that tried to save her life.

Serious question, would the FBI be sent in if they thought it was a black guy who did this?
