Samuel Little was 80
quote:
By the time of his death, Little had confessed to killing 93 people between 1970 and 2005. Most of the slayings took place in Florida and Southern California. Authorities, who continue to investigate his claims, said they have confirmed nearly 60 killings and have no reason to doubt the others.
quote:
The numbers dwarf those of Green River killer Gary Ridgeway (49), John Gacy (33) and Ted Bundy (36).
quote:
His last killing was in 2005, he said, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He also killed people in Tennessee, Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, Nevada, Arkansas and other states. Kentucky authorities finally caught up with him in 2012 after he was arrested on drug charges and his DNA linked him to three California killings.
The 60 Minutes on him was interesting.

What do you mean "our"
Posted on 12/30/20 at 8:57 pm to duggieblue
Did he ever have a "type" he searched for?
Posted on 12/30/20 at 8:58 pm to duggieblue
Wasn’t he the guy that painted all of his victims in jail?
Posted on 12/30/20 at 8:59 pm to duggieblue
it's crazy to think there are lots of active serial killers out there

The pits of Hell, enjoy them. You earned it.

In a huge forward advancement for the cause of diversity, a black man is now recognized as the highest scoring serial killer in a field normally dominated by whites.

Almost all of Little’s victims were women, many of them prostitutes, drug addicts or poor people living on the edges of society. They were individuals, he said he believed, who would leave few people behind to look for them and not much evidence for police to follow.
From the article. These were his targets.

There’s a 2020 death I can get on board with

I have always thought targeting throwaway people in no discernable pattern would be very difficult to pick up.

The fact that he’s been sitting in a jail cell since 2012 is asinine. Should’ve put a bullet in the dudes head years ago and saved the taxpayers money.

I know God says judge not lest ye be judged....but this guy seems like a real jerk.

Oddly enough had this happened we wouldn’t have solved nearly 60 murders and have evidence of an additional 30.

I opened this thread really thinking it was Hillary.

Perhaps not. In some variations of Christianity, if he confessed his sins alone in his cell to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and believed that Christ was his Lord and Savior who died for his sins, this man went straight to Heaven.
I think that's how the Theology goes. Perhaps somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.

If he really cared about his legacy, he would have offed himself to bump his total up one more.

Here is the 60 Minute story on him. No clue how I've never heard of this dude before. Probably a bit of controversial police work but it definitely led to a lot of families finding closure.
