Pancreatic cancer - The saga continues - RIP lovelsu

Hi All, I have written several posts about my journey with pancreatic cancer. In my last post the doctors were optimistic that after the Whipple surgery I had beat it. Unfortunately that is not the case. It is back and I have been given approximately 2 years. I wanted to thank everyone who have been so supportive of me through out this ordeal. I don't post often but y'all have no idea how many times I have sat in chemo or some doctor's office and passed time reading this board. Right now I'm sitting here with an IV in my arm prepping for a PET scan and I am on the OT! Not looking for any sympathy, I am going to continue to fight but I have accepted what will happen. Thanks everyone! Oh, and FYI I am a female not a baw!
Changed title at the request of my friends!
Sad update from Spelt it Rong:
Just wanted to give an update on lovelsu (my aunt)
She finally lost her hard-fought battle with this round of pancreatic cancer. She always kept such a positive outlook and hoped for the best, even with such dismal odds of beating it a second time, giving hope to those around her. She will be missed by so many that knew her.
Please keep my uncle and his family in your prayers.

Sorry to hear that.
2 years is a long time on the scale of medical research today. Never know what they'll discover coming up that will help you.

I'm sorry to hear this. It brings back thoughts of Keldar and El Josey Wells. Cancer is a bitch.

I hope your PET scan results are better than expected. Keep fighting! 2 years is just their prediction. Try to stay positive-it will help you fight better and longer. Prayers to you!

My neighbor is 80 years old and was given 2months to live with pancreatic cancer. 2 years later she still gets around. I spoke with her the other day about her and her daughter going to see Rod Stewart in Vegas. She does have regular chemo but She’s still getting around just fine and tells me she’s the 2%. You would never know it. Even in this 100 degree weather I saw her outside visiting with my other neighbor yesterday. Always stay positive.
