Out of 32 diets voted on by doctors and nutritionists

When will these cult douche bags realize that it's not that great?

My neighbor pushes paleo and crossfit on me every week and I just want to tell him to stfu

He is always eating this paleo shite that he made that is terrible for you. He makes this nut mix that has honey and nectar in it and I swear it probably has 300-400 calories per handful

What a bunch of douches

I will say that paleo really isn't that hard to follow if you keep it basic. I eat "paleo" almost every night, and I by no means do it as some diet. It is just how I eat. A grilled or baked protein with 2 roasted or sauteed veggies. It's simple.

Now when the retards start doing paleo fried chicken or paleo brownies and that nonsense, yeah, it gets retarded.

Paleo has become such a brand that its now a shell of what it once was.
We eat veggies, meat, some fruit, dairy (some paleo disagree with this), eggs etc. Really only thing we cut out is sugar and most grains. I don't even go into it with others, it just boils down to cutting out most processed food. If others think that's a bad thing then you are an idiot.
Calories do matter but they are not the end all be all.

Don't see Ideal Protein anywhere in the rankings.

Because if something so simple worked. they're out of a job. At least nutritionists.

And Salmon is right. That's exactly what I do as well. All of the "Paleo" stuff is ridiculous but eating greens and proteins that aren't processed is probably a good idea.

And it is more to do with insulin control (actually), than eating "Paleo" that works.

I'm kind of skeptical due to those lists being littered with commercial diets.

Also wary of the ones that push whole grains; physiologically, Americans are more insulin-resistant than ever. Kind of like the "low fat" craze where the industry pushes foods high in sugar & simple carbs.

The best diet is to simply figure out your maintenance calories, eat below that number with majority of calories from protein, and avoid sugar if you can.

I eat kind of loosely Paleo (meat, veggies, fruits, some dairy). I mostly cut out bread, pasta, etc.

I don't really see how this would be bad for you. Then again, I'm not one of those people trying to re-create dishes to be Paleo. And I cheat on the weekends.

I agree with you guys. I'm not hardcore Paleo at all but I do eat mostly Paleo every evening. I'm on a meal plan that sends you recipes. Basically all your ingredients are just fresh things that aren't processed. Lots of veggies, lean meat, and making what I think are smart substitutions.

Like cooking with olive oil rather then cooking oil, flavoring with real spices, or using Almond meal rather then bread crumbs for breading.

As with anything, there are hardcore people that are crazy about it, but I don't see any issue with making better decisions about how you cook and what ingredients you use.

i've been reading some of the reviews of the top-ranked diets and it appears that "heart health" is the biggest issue, which means thinking in terms of 90s-era thinking and focusing on fat

Calories in vs calories out

That's it. Try to get those from lean meats, veggies and fruit and you will be fine

Dairy is fine and so are beans paleo douches. Beans are constantly one of the wonder foods for men

Also funny story, the same pushy crossfit paleo neighbor invited wife and I to his birthday party a few weeks back.

All of his gym buddies were there including the crossfit manager. Almost every single one of them were eating wings, chips and queso, fried cheese and of course beer and drinks. I lol

this is my problem with paleo

WTF is wrong with beans? Anything I can grow in my backyard garden should be allowed in any diet plan.
