That's a lucky son of a bitch....there was absolutely nothing he could have done to stop that King from tagging his arse if it would have wanted to. That shows you right there that snakes really do want to conserve venom for prey at all costs.

My retelling of that story to my friends later would have involved the word "shat"

How long of a snake is that?! To turn around after he has at least six feet of snake controlled…14 foot snake?!

I think the largest king on record was like 18 ft....I don't think 12-14 is out of the question at all.

Somebody needs to turn that into an "Out' gif

In general people that play with the deadliest snakes in the world in a 3rd world country where the nearest medical services are more than 15 miles away are not incredibly bright.
In most places in America if you get bit by a venomous snake native to the States then you can be relatively certain you will survive if you are smart and go to the hospital. Unless of course you have some other type of medical condition.

This. They get freaking huge, that was pretty damn dumb for that guy to be screwing with it like that although that looked like snake tool right? So assuming he had some sort of experience?

Well yea but that dude injected himself with actual cobra venom for years not having any real clue what it would do to him....but it did seem that over time he definitely developed some type of resistance to snake venom. I'm not sure I'd recommend that strategy to anyone....I'm not sure he would have before he died.
He was a strange cat.

And you know this how, Mr. Irwin?
Maybe the snake was as shocked someone grabbed his tail as Punjab was when that
Big fricker emerged?. You can’t possibly “know” why the snake did or didn’t do what he did. Maybe it was all luck. Maybe the snake is disoriented.
You don’t know dick from a video clip so don’t act
Like it’s reaction was something you can understand with ontological certitude.

It's hard to tell with Southeast Asians....those SOBs are so nonchalant with them it is hard to tell who is real and who might die soon

You could be right....but there are scientific studies that back it up. They also relate to dry bites as well which make up about 25% of snake bites in total.
Snakes are predators....for non-constricting venomous snakes the way that they kill their food is with the venom.

Have not handled snakes myself. “Seen a lot on…. Tee-Veee!!” When you grab the tail the other hand is holding the snake hook. That was like reaching into a large aquarium/enclosure with your pet snake under its hiding rock and you grab his tail with no idea where the head is.
