All that’s needed for a duplicate key is your VIN… saw at done with my own eyes… don’t even need your VIN if he get close enough to your key

Do you not block your vin with an index card? Literally one of the first things I do with every car I've bought. I know it's technically on the engine block and or door jam, but seems like people would find another car before that.

If you have a Hyundai or Kia, they don't even need your VIN or get close to your key. Just a USB and a cable.
