OT watch guys - got my first nice watch yesterday

I’m at my BIL’s house yesterday, we are talking watches. I tell him about the ones I found at garage sales, etc.
he asks me if I like wearing Apple Watches, and I tell him not really.
He goes in the back and brings out a Edox Automatic and tells me to keep it. He did say he better not see it on eBay. LOL
He is a watch collector with 10’s of 1000’s of dollars in watches.
I was first like, “Man, I can’t keep this!” He insisted, so it’s mine now. It’s a beautiful watch, blue face, sapphire crystal, 25 Jewel automatic with three dates showing (today, tomorrow, and yesterday). I thought is was a little strange, but it’s cool.
I don’t have it on right now, but will post picture of it later. I can’t find the exact watch anywhere on the internet.
I had never even heard of Edox before that.
Now I got a slight fever for nice watches.

Edox makes some nice watches. Thy have a big range from a couple hundred to $5000. Never seen a good watch with 3 dates on it though.

I think he said he paid $800 for it. I didn’t quite understand what he said, I didn’t want to know anyway, so I didn’t ask him what he said.

Now I gotta buy me a winder. I should have picked up the two I saw at a garage sale last weekend.

classic looking watch -- would wear.
Something about the movement in a nice automatic watch I love, it represents the ever present march of time in a visual manner that just speaks to me. I'll never spend $10k on a watch, but I do love and appreciate a lot of quality made automatics
