Had a 16 hr layover in Singapore on a trip from BFE Indonesia coming back to ATL. I paid $10 an hour for a coffin and a communal shower. Well worth the money. I couldn’t imagine going to 7 hrs to Tokyo then 11 to ATL after sleeping on a bench.
I’ve had som 6 or 7 hr layovers in Shanghai and Beijing but I just suffered through those.

I did it once because the flight was before any buses/trains would get to the airport. Not my favorite experience.

I would last half a night as a homeless person before slitting my wrists.
I hate sleeping on an airplane, much less in an airport.

I do it on rare occasions, but sleeping in an airport is an absolute last resort. I believe I am better off just forcing myself to stay awake. I find that my best bet I to find some quiet area that is carpeted and lay on the floor with something rolled up under my head.

Why would you ever bother with a hotel? If your private jet has a problem, just get another one. Problem solved.

I got stuck in the Dallas airport trying to get back to BR a few years ago when it was snowing. All flights to BR were delayed till the next day. I had the company credit card and used it for everything. Got a cheap room at the closest hotel and dinner. Woke up and flew out. Not sleeping in an airport.

How clean do you think that bedspread is at the hotel?
I’ve seen enough films to know to stay away from that chair in the corner as well.

Sometimes I will put the remote in a ziplock bag and use it
I think some of this shite is nuts but I'm doing this going forward
Thanks for the tip
I don't care about light switches and whatnot but the remotes gross me out
