That is some nasty shite. I don’t even like sitting in the chairs much less sleeping. Y’all are some nasty motherfrickers.

How clean do you think that bedspread is at the hotel?

You know they only clean the sheets.... notice all bedspreads are fancy patterns where you can't see stains?

I bet you touch the hotel remote control with your bare hands too...

Done it once.

Flight cancelled from JFK to NOLA
Took a taxi from JFK TO catch a flight from Newark to ATL to NOLA
Flight from Newark to ATL was delayed and we missed our flight to NOLA
Ended up landing in ATL at midnight and our flight out to NOLA was at 7, by the time we would have got a room and settled in it would have been time to wake up and head back to the airport so we grabbed a bench and crashed for a couple hours.

Nope. Don’t sleep on bedspreads or use them. Also travel with anti-bacterial wipes. I wipe light switches, remotes, faucet handles and pretty much anything else I may touch. Sometimes I will put the remote in a ziplock bag and use it. I don’t touch ketchup bottles with my bare hands either.

Those don't kill viruses.

I did this once in college to avoid paying $300+ just to sleep at a hotel until my flight.

I just showed up to the airport as late as possible, brought a book to read for as long as possible, and then slept on a bench for a few hours.

My flight was super early and it would have been an expensive pain in the arse to get from the hotel to the airport that early.

I was in Beijing a few weeks ago, my plane got in at 6 am from Bangkok and the airport is so gigantic it felt deserted. At first I slept for 20 minutes on a row of seats just as the sun was coming through the windows ( warm ) . Then I found a spot called “Movie land “ that has leather oversized seats and couches and slept for two hours. It was brilliant.

Before that I went to the little pod hotel in the airport but they were turning away all the non Chinese because that’s what Chinese people do , y’all.

About a month ago i landed in dallas 2 am. Got to hotel 3 am. Went straight to bed. Woke up at 6, quick shower, 630 shuttle, 800 flight.

I felt completely refreshed and normal by the time i got to airport.

If i had slept in airport i would have been a miserable zombie.

Well worth $100 to me.

Yep, I get what people are saying about saving money, at my age I’ve become accustomed to comfort, and as long as I have the pesos, I’m going to pay for comfort

I do it sometimes.

Typically when it involves, say, a midnight arrival and a 6:15am flight to follow. The three hours I could have in a hotel are not worth it.

Depending on the length of the second flight, I might bring a change of underwear and a washcloth to freshen up.

I'm 47 and I've probably done this (in one form or another), a dozen times.

I do this all the time, just go to the lounge kick back and take a nap, I would never set out to do it the night before though.

Always have a change of clothes, most international terminal lounges have shower facilities.

I ran into a similar situation with the first two hotels being booked . Delta agent was nice and offered to put me up downtown at nice hotel . I looked at the time and realized I would be lucky to get 30 minutes of sleep before I would have to leave the hotel to catch early flight. I asked her for a flight voucher instead and she gave me 30,000 Miles . Still sucked sleeping in ATL but I least I got something for it

Just ask a female FA. They always have a room and are very accommodating.

I spent the night at London Gatwick. I was 21 and had an early flight to go back home. I found a group of seats to lay on and had my luggage situated where if anyone took something it would be noticeable to me and wake me up. There was a very attractive woman who was about my age across from me who did the same thing. It helped me go to sleep knowing she was there. When I woke up after about 35-45 minutes, she saw I was awake and went right to sleep. Then she woke up and I went to sleep…and so on and so on…. I never actually talked to her – seemed at the time like it would be creepy, but we watched out for each other most of that night.

I had a good three years where I probably slept more in airports than I did my own bed. Don't miss that shite.

I had a somewhat long layover in DFW coming back from a work trip in MAD. Rented one of those “minute suites”. Took a solid nap, and caught my flight.

Any time my flight has been canceled I have always gotten a hotel. I could do it if I have to, but I would take every avenue not too

You sound like the manliest fricking dude on the planet. Do you store your tampons in hand sanitizer as well?
