I've gone through 2 rolling briefcases in the past 2 years, one delsey and one solo. The telescoping handles broke on each. What brands should I be looking at?

I am not an OT Baller so Tumi is out (and I would never pay $800 for a briefcase). What are your preferred brands?

Victorinox has some sturdy rolling bags. I have a full set of King Ranch luggage. It's pimp.

Why do you need to roll a briefcase? Get one with a shoulder strap.

Samsonite. It's decent luggage and not too pricey so if it gets damaged (either accidentally by you, intentionally by some mongoloid baggage handler or simply wear-and-tear) it won't kill you to replace it.

I like my tumi, but it is getting ragged after 5 years. victorinox will be my next purchase as I have a garment bag and that thing has been put through hell by the baggage handlers and it is still solid.

Eagle Creek is not flashy but it is well designed and very durable. Probably best warranty in the industry too. A great choice to drag through the airports of the world's shitholes.

ORVIS

Over 30 countries for me in the last 12 years and I still have some of the original pieces.

The others have been back to Orvis for repair or replacement- never a hassle.

Eagle Creek or Patagonia (TFM).

Can't beat the warranty on either one.

I paid $40 for my solo and would but it again if I could find it at that price. I want something that has room to carry pressed shirts and another set of shoes

I like their stuff but $450 is still out of my price range
