CI is usually my go to, but they’re back ordered on almost all My Father cigars.

CI is horrible, along with JR cigars. I’d stay away from those mega-cigar warehouse sites. They store their cigars in horrible conditions, and it takes about 2 months of them resting in a humidor to get them back to smoking right.

I mainly use Fox Cigar if ordering online.

I have tried 15 different types of cigars. The only one that ever stood out was Rocky's Java Mint due to the flavoring.

Cigars are like whiskey to me. They pretty much all taste the same.

You just haven’t had “the one” yet.

It takes time to find “the one”.

I’ll check out Fox Cigar, although I did just place an order for Oliva Serie O Madura, Padron 2000 Natural, and Brick House from CI.

Free hand warmers!

This thread inspired me to hit up my local shop and look around. Picked up 3 for the weekend. Perdomo Connecticut, Cohiba Corona, and a Punch Signature.

Thanks to OP for starting the thread and to the poster who linked the food board discussion. I'm ready to jump into the cigar world now.

Prepare thy bank account. This thread motivated to me to buy even more just a few minutes ago

There’s an endless selection, so dive right in. You can’t go wrong with even the “cheapo” smokes. The Po-Boy sampler from CI is a great way to get your daily driver type smoke count up.

Yeah, when I was in the humidor looking around a little while ago, sticker shock definitely hit me when I saw some the top shelf stuff they had.

Thanks. I'll check that out. Like I said earlier, I've kind of been just at the mercy of whatever my dad had on hand at the moment so I certainly need to expand my knowledge and see what my flavor preference truly is.

flavor preference

I can honestly say I have never had a cigar I didn’t enjoy for one reason or another. Unless it was plugged and I couldn’t get a draw or something like that. Don’t waste your time trying to unplug it, IMO. Just toss it and get another one.

Different regions, seeds, and wraps will obviously give you different flavor profiles, but a good cigar is a good cigar to me I don’t care where it comes from.

These guys here are smoking premium and super premium brands that command similar prices.

The quest is to find the same quality at a better price that allows one to smoke a bit more. I've been living as caregiver to my living parent, I am away from home and my family, lonely and aggravated a bit. I have for the last two years been a nightly smoker which I never was before.

So I have been looking for and finding deals, and specials. Deals, less expensive but quality cigars; specials, premiums and super premiums at insanely low prices. I have had no trouble whatsoever with CI, Holt's, or Cigar King. I would PREFER to go local like I do with groceries, but they don't have the stuff I smoke and would charge too much for it. It's a bitter pill.

Agree with the comments of so many good ones out there it is almost overwhelming.

Caldwell, Warped, BLTC, crowned heads, and illusione have been getting most of my attention.

I can’t say I’ve smoked many from any of them, but I know they’ve got a cult like following. Illusione especially. People go crazy for those.

Check out the "private stock" line from Davidoff at about $5/per.

The r/cigar sampler at SBC is also a pretty solid mix at about $6 per. The Jericho hill is one of my favorites.

edit: oh and get some of these little guys. So good.

I’ve been there

Eventually you learn to hold the smoke on your palette without inhaling or quickly exhaling to really appreciate the subtle notes of a cigar.
