100% when they rebid the contract the same company will get it at twice the original price. Why? Because the council voted in a $15/he minimum for city workers and contractors.

A. They release it on a Saturday during college football season so no one notices.

B. Look at the damn spin. It's making me dizzy. "The City has temporarily shifted to once per week solid waste collection in Service Area 1 and 2 to bring a level of consistency to residents."

Typical Left press release. We are screwing you but it is for your own good therefore we are doing you a favor.

It's not the city's fault the third party trash collectors cant find the employees.....

and it you would have read the press release it clearly says it temporary....

View maps or scheduling link below for information on new collection day. Curbside recycling remains suspended as the City works to stabilize solid waste collections.

Reminds me of one time when I was moving out of my old apartment. New management had just taken over and they were screwing people left and right.

We were told when we gave our 2-month move out notice that there was no need to repair/clean the blinds throughout the unit, as they were being replaced anyway.

Come checkout time, we notice that there is a $115 charge on our final statement for blinds repair.

When questioned, the C U Next Tuesday lady in the leasing office said, "We assess this charge to ensure fairness for every resident upon moving out."

I took the case all the way up to MAA corporate and won since I got it in writing. Either way, funny how those types try to phrase screwing you over.

The city has contracts with Richards and Metro....they are responsible for picking up the trash.....not sure why they cant hire anyone....

I dont see why the city wont give them some trustees from OPP to pick up the trash.....have a sheriff van follow the garbage truck to make sure they dont escape.

Teedy is now deep cleaning the trash one block at a time and yet you guys still find something to complain about. Teedy say one deep clean trash pickup is equal to two quick cleans.

not to mention....

Solid waste collection in the French Quarter and DDD occurs seven days a week, between 4:00am and 8:00 am. Properties may not leave containers or bags on public rights-of-way between the hours of 9:00am and 3:30pm.

Yeh this is an issue everywhere, and it isn’t on the city. It’s on private companies who can’t find employees

Because wage costs are going up, but the city is insisting on paying the same contact price. These companies have decided that slow-rolling the city makes more sense as they know the city really isn't going to sue them / punish them.
