Not sure why but this made me laugh.

I dont know... Something/anything more practical? any safer/bigger vehicle with more room? I, for one, liked trucks, so any of those, especially in the south. Everyone I knew that drove a mustang had a tiny penis and was a huge tool

It is #1 on Forbes list of the "Top 10 Cars That Teens Want Most."...#1. And that's not even the GT. Much less the 50th Anniversary.

In response to the comment that it was a lot of engine in this car:
The thirty-five year-old version of your kid (should he survive having this car) will not thank you for giving it
to him now. There's a reason most kids don't have these types of vehicles. It's not affordability. I could afford new BMWs for my kids when they began driving. They sure as hell didn't get them. The reason you don't see this often is that most parents have some amount of wisdom.
PS: This move and makes your kid more like Johnny not Danny.
tl/dr: Unwise move/ Subtle Brag

I figured it would be much safer - you don't want a 15 yr. old in something slow so he ends up getting hit pulling into traffic. You want to be able to respond to oncoming threats with ample acceleration.

Congrats?
Kids today are obnoxious pieces of crap, so I guess that makes sense that their number one choice would reflect that.
Doesn't make it a good car.

Yeah…cause every poor white trash kid drives a $45,000 car.

In all reality, a lot of kids drive way nicer cars than mustangs at my high school. But it was a very wealthy area of Orlando.
I just think it's pathetic that 911 is lying about his kid being a taekwando world champion, when they're aren't any American world champions. At least make up something cool to lie about.
Really, he had to get his kid a nice car. Otherwise, he wouldn't have friends or any chance at getting a girl. If my son was such a pathetic loser, I'd buy him something like that too.

Guess it goes to show how times have changed over the years. Back in my day the only guys who didn't like muscle cars were the band geeks and prissy little preppy boys.

Honestly, based on the OP, there's a zero percent chance that his kid isn't a giant douche. Apple can't fall too far from the tree.

You're right. I'm sure they all want a Prius now. Look at the links I posted regarding Mustang sales, and they are in even greater demand today.
