15 yo and you bought him a GT?

That is not wise.....hopefully he doesn't put sorrow on your face. Seriously, that is really wreckless.

A kid I knew in high school had a late 80s ragtop 5.0. He wasn't popular on the weekends because the car would allow him to merge quickly and easily, I can tell you that.

I spend more time with my kid than any father I've ever known. And he just won a World Championship in Taekwondo, so it felt like a suitable reward. Seriously - have you ever seen a world champ in a Honda Accord?

no, but I did see a HS All-American with a full football scholarship to LSU get a Nissan pickup and go bananas......that'd be me;)

but any kid in high school would give his left nut for new Mustang - even a 4 cylinder. Any kid in college would give his left nut for a new Mustang.

How is this thread still alive

It's still alive because a well-calculated one line post with a picture got you frickers to tap dance for 20 pages. The sad thing is that so many people are enraged by jealousy that they can't even see what's happening - even to the extent of believing the "headband" part - despite the fact that I even used a blurred picture of the karate kid.
A few things I've learned over the course of my current persona:
- a Porsche 911 Carrera is a POS and no one would drive one
- a 2015 Corvette Z51 is a POS and no one would drive one
- a loaded 2015 Mustang GT Premium is a POS and no one would drive one when they were 15.

The OT is a shell of its former self and has been overrun with poor, ignorant college kids who can't appreciate the art of a troll even when you slap them in the face with it.

Actually they believe every post is a troll. Any time anyone says anything that garners any response whatsoever it is then a troll.

There are still morons arguing over me editing "role model" to "roll model" after I added that my kid was 225 pounds. Jesus Christ - are people that dense?

If you look at my posts and his edit he changed it to "roll model" after I called him out on "role model" so he could try to play it off. I assure you he was 100% serious in the beginning but it went all wrong so now he is playing the "Ah-ha I trolled you card" which is just sad IMO. I like the dude but this was sad, if he had stuck to his guns I would have supported.

That's his typical MO. Thinks he's cool. OT calls his dumbass out, so he then calls it a troll. I believe he probably did buy his son a Mustang. New? I kinda doubt it. He has stated his (unbalanced ?) priority on vehicles in other threads. If you don't drive a sports car, surely you're jealous of anyone who does.

You simply do not understand how a troll works, and you're butthurt when you realized that you're not the accordion player - you're the dancing monkey on a rope. I don't need the anonymous people of the OT to tell the anonymous me how cool I am - I experience it enough in real life.
I'll explain it to you: A casual mention of a GT for a kid in a post long ago invokes a strong reaction from the OT. So now the "button" is established. I then set you up further with a "what to buy with $100K" post a week ago that gets you people riled up even more - for a dozen pages - with the seed planted. Finally, I make a one-line post with a pic and you go off for 20 pages. Button pushed. And I know exactly how you will react. But you can't help yourself. The key to a good troll is to do it with facts (at least up to the headband and weight posts). Any idiot can troll with crap they made up. It's all about the presentation and the setup. The fact that you think it's "real" until I have to slap you in the face with it is what makes it perfect. And I'll do it to you again and again. And your reaction will be just as predictable.
Keep dancing.
