Hopefully, it was a dang good burrito.

American track and field star Shelby Houlihan received a four-year ban after testing positive for nandrolone, which she blamed on a pork burrito.

According to the 28-year-old, she was notified of the positive results from an out-of-competition urine test given by the World Anti-Doping Agency in December.

Houlihan began searching for the culprit, logging her food from the previous week. She and her team believe the nandrolone detected stemmed from a pork burrito Houlihan bought from a food truck the night before her test.

Now, just one week before the start of U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials, the American 1500-meter and 5000-mteer record-holder must confront the severity of this ruling, which could keep her out of the 2024 Games in Paris.

OK, this still doesn’t top the baseball player who said his positive test was from eating out his girlfriend after she used a topical cream on their vag.

Wonder if she got this excuse from Bob Baffert?

Probably from Alberto Contador who was a Tour de France winner who blamed eating contaminated Spanish beef for his positive test.

quote:

Contador was stripped of his victories at the 2010 Tour de France, the 2011 Giro d'Italia and a raft of other races after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) brought its nearly-two-year investigation to a close. A sample of Contador’s urine, taken during a rest day in the 2010 Tour de France, contained traces of clenbuterol – a banned substance in cycling and many other sports. Contador claims the clenbuterol in his body was the result of eating contaminated Spanish beef.

Hmmm, I wonder why they decided to give her an unannounced random test?

I believe her. In our industrial farming world I don't think it's out of the question that some trace amount would enter someone's system through pork. Now if she has an off the charts amount that's another story.

WADA/USADA are freaking pitbulls with their testing. My now wife was an All American and thus in the testing pool around the turn of the century. They showed up at practice for a test but she couldn't give them one right then. They didn't take their eyes off of her and they eventually invited themselves into our apartment until she was able to provide them with one. The NCAA does the same type of thing with their winners and randomly chosen participants at championship meets. It always sucked when we have to wait an hour to leave. Every freaking time she had to fill out a form with everything (besides food & drink) that she put in her body...even something as basic as Tylenol.

So yeah, I tend to believe someone unless massive amounts of prohibited substances are detected.

Didn't one of the cyclist blame drinking whiskey the night before for a too high testosterone result?

I’m sure a world class athlete is eating from a street truck. They monitor the nutrition and training religiously

Love the excuse guess only mrs esterhouse got the testosterone juiced burritos and everyone else eating at the choke and puke got regular burritos

I don't believe it. If burritos had roids I'd be fricking jacked right now.
