Old farts of the OT from Baton Rouge - jacuzzi club on Sherwood in late 80’s/90’s?

I remember hearing rumors of a jacuzzi club on Sherwood Forest, near Oak Lodge (Common Point).
People said it had three or four jacuzzis, you rented by the hour. It was open late (3am or so).
Was this real and did you go?
I think this is where Covid started if it was real.

There were several hotels on Airline that advertised jacuzzi rooms. Some of my buddies rented a couple and took some sorority girls. I passed just on the basis that I didn't want to think about the water and who or what had been in it. I don't know of anything on Sherwood but to answer your question. It was a thing.

I grew up on Siegen Lane down the road and never heard of anything like this.
Was it marketed towards gays on the downlow? I certainly don't remember any advertisements for such a place.

It was a “on the down low” kind of thing, I heard. I don’t know where it could have been. Somewhere near Louisiana Double Play cards and comics.

Gotcha. Then yea it probably existed. A lot of people don't realize there's a club in Baton Rouge now where people go get spanked and gagged and vice versa. Nothing wild like big cities but it's a dom/sub fetish club. A friend of mine is a member and he likes spanking them chicks for their husbands and what not.

I stayed in a hotel room in midland that was just one big room with a jacuzzi, sink and toilet on one side and bed on the other. It was disgusting

If it was downlow it was probably swingers and not the gays. When I sold real estate occasionally we would come across some sweet swinger pads from the 70s and 80s. They all had Jacuzzis

I just asked my wife, who grew up in that area, she said it was real. It was next door to The Common Point (Oak Lodge)

My ex wife and I stayed in one like that in Kinder at the casino. We liked it. It wasn't dirty or anything. It's just clearly designed for couples, with no door to the bathroom area and jacuzzi.

It was called "Tubmarines", was operating when I was a Freshman/Sophomore in 84/85 and it was just as you described, 3-4 private rooms with tubs that you rented by the hour.
I was an avid customer and I survived, but me and my friends used to swim in irrigation ditches on the reg!!

Yes! It was called “Tub Marines”. I went there on a double date while in high school. My new young girlfriend was mortified that while we were in the hot tub, making out and getting a little handsy, we could see the outlines of my buddy and his girlfriend shagging in the shower.

That would have been frickin awesome if it was still around in 92-93.
